Swathed in rich hues and lit up by whimsical neon elements, this couple’s wedding reception decor was regal and modern

Larger-than-life and opulent, Navyata and Yashwanth’s reception looked straight out of a Bollywood flick with its sheer luxury. Decorated by WeddingSutra Favorite – Designs by Sakshi Jerath, this wedding reception stole hearts with its rich tones and clever use of florals.

Describing the brief she received from the couple, Sakshi Jerath shares, “The couple, especially, the bride was heavily involved in crafting the decor story. Navyata wanted something that was unique and larger than life along with a design that would include maple leaf motifs and complement her amazing Sabyasachi lehenga. As we went about designing the decor, we ensured that every detail was in place and every box was checked. The end results were absolutely astounding as we fused the maple leaf motifs seamlessly with floral setups that were in tandem with the bride’s lehenga.”

Sharing how they went about bringing the event to life Sakshi says, “We had a huge canvas to work on – a massive convention centre and I’m proud to say that we made full use of the space. We chose the prettiest flowers which were flanked by stand-alone elements that signified the couple’s dreams for the future that were about to take flight. The dinner tables weren’t far behind as we loaded them up with florals too along with accent vases. Overall, the tables were decorated with an aim to amplify the opulence rather than just be space for the guests to dine. Grand floral arches welcomed the guests as they proceeded to the dining area and there was a sumptuous selection of cuisines for them to choose from.”

Butterflies crafted out of neon LED lights lit up the venue adding a dash of whimsy to the occasion, crystal chandeliers suspended from the ceiling enhanced the regal look of the decor, LED archways lit up the pathway for the guests and food counters were also decorated with cursive neon signages that contrasted beautifully with the dark-hued drapes. Dark green foliage also played a pivotal part in the decor as it balanced the moody decor with its vivid hue. Overall, the decor was equal parts of glamour, tradition and fanciful contemporary accents.
