Magical Boho Woodland Wedding with Dried Flowers

Ready for the Kent woodland wedding of your dreams?! It’s time to share WWW readers Vicki and Ant’s gorgeous boho day in the woods at The Dreys. Hooray!

From their stylish outfits to the stunning dried flowers you are going to feel super inspired by Vicki and Ant’s nuptials. There was a special woodland ceremony against a meadow of pampas grass, followed by a perfectly decorated marquee reception. In the evening WWW wedding supplier Entertainment Nation provided the live band, oh yes.

Don’t miss the woodland evening portraits, which were a total dream in the dappled sunlight. A magical and enchanting day indeed.

Massive thanks to Paul Fuller Kent Photography for sharing these unreal images. Wow!

The Proposal

This is funny! To try and catch me and my friends/family out after thinking on each get away holiday that Ant was going to propose. He joined me in the shower one midweek day and pretended to drop his shampoo and bent down and got on one knee and proposed!!

He caught me off guard and I of course said YES!!

The Vision

The vision for the day was to be relaxed, rustic and boho! Lots of gin fizz, ring warming to get the guests involved, storytelling ceremony, music and lots of dancing.

Budget

£25,000 (we blew that!) oops.

The Venue

The Dreys, Sittingbourne

Your Outfits

I had my dress made by a seamstress Boho & Vintage Bridal in Kent. I found this dress on Instagram and she kindly made it to measure and gave me half price off because I was a Paramedic! How amazing is that… I loved that she was a small business and a busy mum. I am going to get her to cut it short so I can wear it again.

I chose this dress as I loved the shape, how flattering it was on me and loved the lace. I got her to make mini matching dresses for my flower girls!

The Ceremony & Music

We had Lonan Jenkins – Lonan Jenkins Ceremonies. He did a storytelling ceremony about our life together; we also got our guests to pass around and warm our new wedding bands to make a wish for us in the future! Lonan made it extra special.

We had a husband and wife duo play before I arrived, during the ceremony and after (Ella and Tom Martin) they recently married themselves and were very sweet. I saw them singing together and holding hands together. They were from Bristol and I just loved their voices. I found these guys on Instagram.

Your Photographer & Filmmaker

My wonderful, talented cousin Paul Fuller. He has a reputation for photographing relaxed weddings and he did a wonderful job. He also supplied us with his photobooth @storytreebooth which was great fun and the pics turned into a photo album!

The Styling & Decor

JoJo Blooms and Sue Davies – these ladies know how to dress a wedding! We decided to go for a meadow garden in the blessing area which these guys had only done a few times. We decided to stay away from the classic flower arch. They used a range of toffee roses, dried flowers and pampas grasses.

Cake – The Cheese Shop, Tunbridge Wells. Small business locally to where we live, he sourced us local cheese so we could have a non-traditional cheese cake! It went down a treat with locally sourced chutneys and crackers.

DIY – Me and Jess from Hope & Cotton made our own table names, name cards, table plans and signs for the venue. We used her cutting machine.

We hired a stunning VW campervan from Perfect Day VW Hire to get both the bridal party and groom party to the venue! This journey was particularly special, my Dad has always wanted to travel in one of these.

The Honeymoon

Minimoon – 3 days in Coddington Mill Lakehouse (on Instagram) then off to Murcia Spain for 5 days.

Honeymoon – Maldives for 9 days next year in October (moved due to IVF).

Memorable Moments

Receiving a written letter by Ant and a wedding gift. The letter was so small that it could only be read by a magnifying glass. I read it out and the whole room was in tears.

Fathers speech! Very touched by what he said.

Advice For Other Couples

Get a wedding planner to run the day!! Best money spent…

Take time out!!! Me and Ant made a pact that throughout the day/evening we would take time out and be just us, look on at everyone having a great time and reflect and take it all in.

Oh my! How very gorgeous.

Vicki and Ant, thank you both so very much for sharing your Kent woodland wedding story with us.
